You shouldn't replace all of your meals with Purition.
We care for your health and will always follow nutrition science instead of trying to sell more.
Purition is real food, not a total meal replacement. It's made from whole food ingredients and is high in fibre, a great source of protein and contains healthy mono- and polyunsaturated fats.
But Purition – on its own – will not provide all the necessary nutrients you need for optimal health. This is expected with any real food – in fact, no single food item can ever provide all the nutrients you need for a healthy diet.
On top of this, having Purition for all 3 of your daily meals would be severely restricting your calorie intake – a practice that we actively discourage. Losing more than 1-2lbs per week is not healthy or maintainable in the long run. Most importantly, you could end up potentially malnourished with a compromised immune system.
To start with, just swap out your first meal of the day for Purition (try it served like this) - once a day, each day. Do this for 2-3 weeks without changing much else - this way you're making more sustainable healthy habits, that will soon feel normal before you start to make other changes.
Then, to maximise healthy eating for weight-loss, this is what a day of eating could look like.
A 40g serving of Purition contains around 200 calories before you add milk or yoghurt.
- 40g Purition + 200ml ofwhole milk= 330 calories
- 40g Purition + 200ml ofsemi-skimmed milk= 290 calories
- 40g Purition + 200mloriginal coconut milk= 260 calories
- 40g Purition + 200mlunsweetened coconut milk= 230 calories
- 40g of Purition +125g plain 0% zero fat greek yoghurt= 267 calories
- 40g of Purition +125g plain 5% full fat greek yoghurt= 316 calories
- 40g of Purition +125g plain almond yoghurt= 320 calories
There are no ’empty calories’ in Purition meaning these 200-300 calories will work hard for you, they’re rich in protein, fibre and healthy fats. That means you’ll have plenty of energy and feel satisfied for 4–5 hours.
We recommend blending Purition, especially for new customers who may be expecting a smoother texture.
If you use a shaker you’ll notice that the texture remains quite nutty and some of the seeds whole. Real food does not dissolve, it’s the nutty bits that provide the nutrition. As you progress towards a simpler whole food diet, there’s no reason why you can’t use a shaker – but it’s not a good place to start.
If you don’t have a blender, take a look at our no blender serving suggestions.
At Purition we do not use any artificial/chemical flavours.
The natural flavours we use are all made only using plant derived, natural flavouring substances. As an example, Orange Oil (commonly used in natural flavourings) is extracted from sweet orange rind. This is done by a method called cold pressing, which uses pressure to squeeze the oils from the rind.
If you are looking flavours that do not contain any natural flavours at all, we have these ones available:
Chocolate (Original only)
Macadamia & Vanilla (Original only)
Coffee & Walnut (Original & Vegan)
Unflavoured/Naked Blend (Original only)
Mixed Berry (Original & Vegan)
These above flavours only contain food ingredients to gently flavour Purition (such as freeze dried berries, vanilla pods, coffee, etc).
For a full list of ingredients and nutritional data for each of our flavours, please click here.
Due to Purition's high fibre content and because we don't add anything artificial to prevent this from happening, the shake will continue to thicken after blended, so you may need to shake in a dash of milk or liquid prior to drinking to thin it down.
That said, some of our customers do this purposely, and then have it with a spoon as a 'pudding' or a 'mousse' rather than a shake.
Otherwise, if you need to prep the night before or don't have a blender at hand at lunch time, you can always stir Purition into 125g Greek yoghurt.
The distinctive smell of Multi Nutrient (although definitely not pleasant) is completely normal. It's caused by B vitamins – thiamine (vitamin B1), in particular – which contains sulphur.
This is nothing to worry about! Other multivitamin products that contain these nutrients have the same distinctive scent, but their manufacturers go into great lengths to make their supplements more appealing by adding synthetic ingredients (excipients) such as sugar and/or gelatine to mask this smell or coat their tablets.
We wanted to create a supplement without any additives, so that you (and us) can rest assured that you are not ingesting artificial ingredients.

About Our Wholefood Blends
Purition is a solution we made for ourselves to make healthy eating easier.
It’s a recipe of whole food ingredients that you can enjoy as a nutritious breakfast, lunch or snack. It’s a quick shake, an easy yoghurt bowl or an instant porridge.
Packed with protein, healthy fats and fibre, Purition will keep you feeling full and energised, without any prep or hassle.
Purition is made from minimally processed whole foods like seeds, nuts, fruit and protein from plants or milk.
There are no chemicals or additives in Purition, which makes it better for you, better for the environment and better for long-term health and immunity.
Purition is suitable for any life stage including youth, adult, senior, pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic, coeliac etc, subject to allergy requirements.
We suggest having Purition once a day (or twice, if you find that you have a particularly busy day) and healthy, balanced meals the rest of the time.
Start the day right and enjoy Purition for breakfast or lunch. Or replace one less nutritious meal or sugary snack with a serving of Purition.
The most important thing is to consume Purition daily at least 5 or 6 times a week, so we can help you to make a positive impact on your overall diet. One shake once a week will not be enough to help you make significant dietary change.
Purition is delicately flavoured with real food ingredients. It has a mildly nutty taste and texture, is not overly sweet and the differences between the flavours are subtle.
Purition Original tastes nutty, while Vegan Purition is earthier due to the nature of plant proteins. If your dietary requirements allow, start with Purition Original.
You’ll add five times more liquid than Purition, so the taste will change depending on the milk (and extras) you choose. If you use a strongly flavoured nut milk like almond or hazelnut, it will taste even nuttier. If you use oat milk, it will taste oaty.
For example, half a frozen banana blended with whole milk and Purition Macadamia and Vanilla tastes like ice-cream! Test out a few milk & flavour variations to see what works best for you.
No, our wholefood blends are real food.
Supplements are created to deliver nutrients in a concentrated dose to help fill a nutritional gap or deficiency in a diet. A varied and balanced diet of whole foods will provide the essential nutrients for most people, so there is no need to use supplements.
Purition is simply a healthy, real food meal alternative that can help you achieve your health goals.
All flavours are made with our proprietary whole food blend which contains: whole ground golden linseed, sunflower kernels, almonds, coconut, pumpkin seeds, whole chia seeds and sesame seeds. With an additional choice of vegetarian or vegan protein and extra natural fibre.
We use real food ingredients for flavour, such as freeze-dried strawberries, pistachios, ground vanilla pods or cocoa. We balance our recipes with a small amount of stevia, a natural plant-based sweetener. Note! Purition is not sweet, you may want to add a little extra of your own.
Read the full ingredients list here.
At Purition we do not use any artificial/chemical flavours.
The natural flavours we use are all made only using plant derived, natural flavouring substances. As an example, Orange Oil (which is a molecule commonly used in Natural flavourings) is extracted from the rind of the sweet orange. This is done by a method called cold pressing, which uses pressure to squeeze the oils from the rind.
All natural flavouring substances we use have been through an evaluation process and been authorised as safe by the European Food Standards.
We understand some customers still want to avoid natural flavouring. All of these flavours are 100% free of natural flavouring:
- Chocolate (cocoa) (Original & Vegan)
- Macadamia & Vanilla (Original Only)
- Curcumin & Black Pepper (Original & Vegan)
- Beetroot (Original & Vegan)
- Beetroot & Chocolate (Original & Vegan)
- Coffee & Walnut (Original & Vegan)
- Unflavoured (Original Only)
- Vegan Hemp
- Pecan & Cinnamon (Original & Vegan)
These above flavours only contain food ingredients to gently flavour Purition, such as freeze dried beetroot.
Yes. Purition contains naturally occurring Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats from wholefood ingredients like nuts and seeds.
These essential fats play a vital role in supporting heart health, balancing cholesterol levels, maintaining normal blood pressure, and reducing inflammation. They’re also linked to better brain function and mood — helping to lift energy and ease symptoms of low mood or depression.
We don’t add oils or isolate nutrients — we let nature do the work. That means every serving delivers essential fats in their most nourishing, wholefood form — exactly as your body recognises and needs them.
Most of our Original and Vegan Wholefood Nutrition flavours are naturally caffeine free.
However, there are some flavours that contain low quantities of naturally occurring caffeine, these flavours are listed below:
Chocolate (cocoa): 5mg caffeine per 40g serving
Chocolate & Hazelnut: 4mg Caffeine per 40g serving
Chocolate Orange: 2.5mg Caffeine per 40g serving
Coffee and Walnut: 25mg Caffeine per 40g serving
(The caffeine content is identical for both the Original and Vegan range flavours)

You can use Purition for weight loss by replacing one or two less nutritious meals with Purition daily. This simple change alone can have a significant impact.
It’s packed with protein, fibre healthy fats and vitamins from whole foods, which will help you to feel fuller for longer and less inclined to overeat.

Yes! All of our flavours are naturally low in carbohydrate but high in fibre to support blood sugar balance. According to our own tests and lots of positive customer feedback, Purition has a negligible impact on blood sugar levels.
If you’re using medication to control your diabetes, make sure to check with your healthcare professional or dietician before getting started.
Our Original range is made with some triple filtered whey protein isolate – which is super low in lactose.
To put it in context, the average cup of tea with just a splash of milk will contain 160mg of lactose. In stark contrast, there is less than 4mg of lactose in a serving of Original Purition. That’s 15 times less lactose than you’d find in a cup of tea with a splash of milk!
Most people with lactose intolerance or sensitivity get on really well with it, but if you’re unsure, we recommend starting with a few individual sachets and maybe trying a half serving for a few days to see how it suits you.
If you'd prefer to avoid dairy altogether, we also have a Vegan range that’s 100% plant-based and free from both lactose and dairy.
Yes, all of our products are coeliac safe, our facility is completely gluten free.
It is! Purition is a nutrient-rich, low-carb, high-fat meal, ready in under 30 seconds.
Every serving contains just 2-4g net carbs per serving, with around 14g of fat, 6g fibre and 16g protein to help you feel full and energised for hours.
It’s ultra quick and convenient, making it easy to minimise carbs and stay on track with your low-carb or keto diet when you’re busy.
Yes, our Original range is made with a little triple filtered whey protein isolate, and is vegetarian.
Our Vegan range is made with fava bean and and pea protein and is vegan.
Yes, Purition is made from 100% wholefood natural ingredients so is perfectly safe if you’re an expectant mum or breastfeeding. In fact, Purition is a great way of making sure your own body is fuelled with essential nutrients whilst you deal with the demands of a newborn.
It’s really simple and quick to prepare so even if you’re too tired to stand in the kitchen and cook a meal you can prepare a Purition shake in less than 30 seconds (and one handed if needs be!).
Yes! We've had plenty of feedback from customers with diverticular disease, who reported that they get on very well with Purition. But if your GP or dietitian has made specific recommendations for you to temporarily avoid eating nuts, please refer to them for further advice.
Following a medical diagnosis of diverticular disease, you will be advised to eat healthy, balanced diet rich in whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
This is because a high fibre diet can help to ease and manage symptoms of diverticular disease. A serving of Purition contains around 7g fibre, and so, can be a valuable addition to your diet.
However, we'd recommend gradually increasing your fibre intake over the course of a few weeks to will prevent side effects associated with a high fibre diet, such as bloating and flatulence. You could start with a serving of Purition (40g) every other day for the first week and then work your way up to a daily serving the week after.
Aim for at least 5 portions of vegetables and fruits (mostly vegetables), as these will help you to achieve the target of 30g of fibre per day. You could even add some fresh or frozen berries to your daily Purition.
Try to drink plenty of fluids, as this will help with any potential side effects of diverticular disease, as well as keeping you hydrated.
In short, yes, Purition will most likely be suitable for you, with some considerations.
Although living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis can be difficult, it is vital to follow medical advice to control your symptoms so that you can live a normal life. Certain unreliable sources may claim that a particular 'diet' may ‘cure’ Crohn’s or colitis, but it is important to know that there is no scientific evidence to support this.
There is also no special diet recommended for adults living with IBD. Following a medical diagnosis, according to the most competent health authorities (NHS, BDA, AfN, NS, Crohn’s & Colitis UK), it is advised that healthy, balanced diet rich in whole grains, fruits and vegetables is followed. This is very important, as without adequate nutrition, the symptoms of Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis can cause serious complications, including nutrient deficiencies, weight loss and even malnutrition.
Some things to consider before using Purition, if you have IBD:
1.A serving of Purition contains around 7g fibre, so it's best to start slowly and gradually increase your fibre intake over the course of a couple weeks to prevent unwanted side effects. Start with either half a serving (20g) per day or a serving of Purition (40g) every other day for the first week and work your way up.
2.During a flare-up of ulcerative colitis (UC), your healthcare professional may advise you to avoid foods that are rich in insoluble fibre. As Purition is a rich source of fibre, you may need to avoid Purition for a while. Once a flare-up has resolved, efforts should be made to reintroduce fibre gradually; you will then be able to enjoy Purition again.
3.Some people with Crohn’scan be more sensitive to the effects of fibre in the gut. For some people, fibre can help to reduce symptoms. For others, fibre can make their symptoms worse during a flare-up, so your dietitian may suggest that you temporarily reduce your intake of fibre. In such cases, you may be advised to avoid Purition until the flare-up resolves.
If your GP or dietitian made specific recommendations for you to follow to manage IBD, please refer to them for further advice. If you have a medical diagnosis of IBD (Crohn’s and colitis), it is also vital that you consult them before making any changes to your diet or embarking on a weight loss journey.
Yes, Purition can be utilised as part of a low fodmap way of eating*.
The protein that we use in our Original range is in isolate form, which means that it has been filtered to remove the lactose (the sugar carbohydrate found in milk) making it easier to digest and absorb in the gut.
*Pistachio's are not low fodmap, so just avoid this flavour.
Our nutritionist wrote a blog post on low FODMAP diets- it's definitely worth a read.
Yes! Purition is a great meal alternative to use if you have been told to follow a low cholesterol diet. The healthy fats in Purition have been shown to have a positive impact on heart health, reducing the harmful LDL cholesterol.
It's also a great source of fibre. which evidence suggest is heart protective and may be beneficial in lowering LDL levels in the body by supporting the liver to make more good cholesterol.
Purition can also be used as part of a weight loss journey, as weight loss (if you need it) has also been shown to be beneficial for lowering LDL levels. Read our weight loss guide here.
Yes, Purition can absolutely be enjoyed by all ages and it can be a great addition to your child's healthy and balanced diet!
Purition is real food - it is not a supplement or a meal replacement - and it it is only made using real, whole food ingredients and nothing artificial or synthetic at all.
It is a base recipe of approximately 70% seeds and nuts: almonds, golden linseed, sunflower kernels, coconut, chia seeds, sesame seeds & pumpkin seeds, plus some additional protein and natural ingredients to flavour gently - such as freeze dried strawberries or whole ground vanilla pods.
Due to these carefully chosen ingredients, Purition is a great natural source of healthy unsaturated fats, protein, fibre and and an array vitamins and minerals:
It is a source vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B9, E and calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium, selenium & zinc.
For a full list of ingredients and nutritional data for each of our flavours, please click here.
One thing to consider is that a 40g serving of Purition is an excellent source of fibre - it contains approximately 7g, depending on the flavour.
So, if your child is 5-11 years old, we suggest that they have a half serving (20g) as their daily fibre requirements are much lower (20g) than children over the age of 11 (25g) or adults (30g). For children over the age of 11, we recommend that they start with a half serving (20g) for the first week or so, until they get accustomed to the fibre and then they can enjoy the full (40g) serving thereafter.
Serving suggestions for kids!
Fuel their day with natural, whole food nutrition instead of cereals and sugar! Purition is a healthy breakfast smoothie for all the family.
✓ Simple smoothie: Add a handful of their favourite frozen berries or some banana to the blender with 200ml milk, whizz up for 20 seconds.
✓ Smoothie bowl: Stir 20g Purition into a spoonful or two of natural, coconut or Greek yoghurt. Let them get creative and decorate the top with sliced fruit or berries to make their own simple smoothie bowl.
✓ Power up porridge: On chillier mornings simply sprinkle 20g Purition as a topper to porridge.
Purition isn’t a supplement or a shake with artificial appetite suppressants—it’s just real food made from seeds, nuts and protein. So there’s nothing you “need to come off” or experience any effects from stopping.
Many people use it as a quick, healthy meal (like breakfast or lunch), so if you stop using it, you’d just go back to whatever you were having before.
No side effects, just a switch in routine!
Storage & Use
Start the day right and enjoy Purition for breakfast or lunch. Or replace one less nutritious meal or sugary snack with a serving of Purition.
The most important thing is to consume Purition daily at least 5 or 6 times a week, so we can help you to make a positive impact on your overall diet. One shake once a week will not be enough to help you make significant dietary change.
Purition is super easy to use — and it’s versatile, too! If you’re new here, we’d strongly recommend that you try it in the following three ways.
Blend it with 200–250ml milk to make a shake.
Stir into a 125-150gr of Greek style yoghurt for an easy yoghurt bowl.
Or simply mix with a dash of hot water or milk to make your own instant porridge.
40g= 4 heaped teaspoons / 1 sample sachet.
50g= 5 heaped teaspoons / half a baking cup measure
40 or 50g / 4 or 5 heaped teaspoons.
The single serving sachets are 40g, which is enough for most people. If this doesn’t keep you satisfied for 3-4 hours, just try a larger serving.
No. It’s an unnecessary use of plastic and we’re doing everything we can to minimise our impact on the environment.
It’s easy to measure Purition without a scoop or scale. 4 heaped teaspoons is 40g, whereas 5 is 50g, and so on. Purition is food not a supplement, so a little more or a little less doesn’t matter.
If you’d prefer to use a scoop, add a reusable metal scoop to your next 500g bag order.
As we don’t use unnatural emulsifiers, gums or milk/cream powders to manipulate the mouthfeel, we usually recommend blending Purition with milk. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t blend Purition with water.
Some helpful tips if you are blending Purition with water:
-Add some frozen fruits or ice.
-Add a dollop of yoghurt for a bit more creaminess.
-Use half milk and half water.
If you blend it with just milk it will be of course creamier, thicker plus it will have additional nutrients and be more filling!
Our recommendation would be to try it for yourself and see which one you prefer.
Also useful to remember that you can always enjoy Purition as porridge - simply add a dash of hot water and mix. Or stir a serving of Purition into 125-150g of Greek yoghurt to make a delicious yoghurt bowl.
You will enjoy Purition more if you use a blender because the real, whole food ingredients don't dissolve. Using a blender enables you to create a thick, smooth and creamy shake!
If you don't have a blender, check out ourno blender serving suggestionsor try using a protein or cocktail shaker.
Shake 40–50g of Purition with 200ml milk or nut milk, leave it to stand (the longer you leave it the thicker it gets) then give it another quick shake to mix and drink. If you have any available, add in a few ice cubes before you shake.
It's a completely different mouth feel, but the nutty and crunchy texture still taste great, and most importantly, all the nutrition is there.
Reseal the bag after use and keep it in a cool, dark cupboard. You don’t need to keep it in the fridge. Decanting it into a sealed jar or container and keeping it on the side next to your blender is handy for easy access if using it everyday!
500g bags should last up to 6 weeks once opened. There are 12 servings in a 500g bag.
To keep your Purition fresh, re-seal the bag with as little air inside as possible after every use. Store your bags in a cupboard at room temperature – avoid cupboards that are next to the oven or any other source of heat.
If you’d like to mix and match your flavours day-to-day or you’re using less than 4 servings per week, we’d suggest ordering a selection of 40g sachets.
Multinutrient
We focus on simplicity and quality. Our multinutrient is made from natural, bioavailable ingredients with no fillers, binders, or artificial colours, and includes CoQ10 for enhanced cellular support.
Just two capsules a day give you what you need, without anything you don’t.
Yes, Purition’s multinutrient is designed to fit seamlessly into your routine. However, if you’re already taking other supplements, check with your healthcare provider to avoid unnecessary overlap.
