If you're looking for a way to get more leafy greens into your diet, you'll love this apple & kale smoothie.
Kale is in season in the UK from September through February it's rich in vitamins A, K, C and B6, as well as manganese, calcium, copper, potassium and magnesium. That's a win-win if we ever did see one!
Ingredients
- 40g Purition Macadamia & Vanilla or Vegan Vanilla
- 200ml milk or almond milk
- 60g kale or cavolo nero (stalk removed)
- ½ an apple and/ or ½ a small banana
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Method
- Add all of the ingredients to your blending cup
- Blend until smooth - about 30-40 seconds
- Pour and enjoy straight away
Tips & Swaps
Looking for low-carb? Swap the apple and/ or banana for a handful of berries. Skip the maple syrup
Serve over ice, or add ice to the blender if you prefer a thicker slushy style smoothie
