Overview

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website(s) and the purchase of goods from Purition Limited ("Purition", "we", "us"). By accessing our site and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms, together with any policies referenced in them (including our Privacy Notice, Returns Policy and Shipping Policy). If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order.

Our store is operated using Shopify's ecommerce platform. Payment options may include Shop Pay and other methods presented at checkout.

2. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • "Consumer" means an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
  • "Order" means a request to buy products from us.
  • "Order Confirmation" means our email confirming we have accepted your Order.
  • "Dispatch Confirmation" means our email confirming we have dispatched your products.
  • "Subscription" means a repeat order arrangement where products are supplied on a recurring basis until cancelled.
  • "SMS Service" means our SMS/text messaging service (service messages and, where applicable, marketing texts).
  • "SMS Re-order Service" means the option (where available) to request a repeat order by SMS, after which we send a payment request link.
  • "User Content" means reviews, comments or other material you submit to us or on our site.

3. Eligibility and account details

By placing an Order you confirm you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract. Where an account is used, you are responsible for keeping login details secure and for activity under your account. You agree to provide current, complete and accurate information for Orders and (where applicable) subscriptions, including a valid email address and delivery address.

4. Using our website

You agree to use our site lawfully and not to misuse it. In particular, you must not:

  • attempt unauthorised access to the site, servers or connected systems;
  • introduce malware, viruses, worms or other harmful code;
  • scrape, crawl, spider, or systematically extract data from the site without our permission;
  • engage in phishing, spamming, fraudulent or deceptive behaviour;
  • interfere with or circumvent security features; or
  • harass, abuse or threaten our staff or other users.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe there has been misuse, fraud, security risk or a breach of these Terms.

5. Third-party tools, services and links

Our site may integrate or provide access to third-party tools, features or services (for example: payment services, review widgets, referral tools, analytics, customer support features, social platforms). Where we do so, they are provided "as is" and may be subject to the third party's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that are not under our control.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Notice explains how we collect and use personal information, including in connection with customer support, subscriptions, SMS services and Al-assisted features.

7. Products and food information

We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are in conformity with this contract. We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate. Packaging and product pages may change from time to time. Allergen and ingredient information is provided on product pages and on product packaging. If you have allergies or intolerances, please check product information carefully before ordering. Always check the packaging you receive for the most up-to-date information.

8. Al-generated content and Al-assisted services

We may use automated tools, including artificial intelligence ("AI"), to help provide information (for example via on-site assistants, SMS re-order support, or customer service drafting). Al-generated or Al-assisted content is provided for general information and may contain mistakes or be incomplete. It does not provide medical advice and does not replace professional guidance. You should rely on product pages, checkout information and packaging labels (including allergen/ingredient information) when making decisions.

Please do not share personal, sensitive or payment information via public comments or any channel where it is not necessary. We will never ask you to send full card details or a card security code by SMS. If you would like a human review of an Al-assisted response, or you would like your enquiry handled without Al assistance, please tell us.

9. Placing an order (website checkout)

When you place an order via our website checkout, you are making an offer to purchase the products at the price shown. Your order is subject to availability and our acceptance. A contract is formed when we send you an Order Confirmation (or Dispatch Confirmation) after successful payment, or when we dispatch your products (whichever occurs first). We provide order confirmations by email (a durable medium).

10. Orders via SMS Re-order Service (order created first, then payment request)

Where we offer SMS re-ordering:

10.1 Your SMS request is not a binding order. A text message requesting a re-order is treated as a request for us to prepare a draft order.

10.2 We may create an order record in our systems to generate a secure checkout/payment request. This is an administrative step only and does not mean an order has been accepted.

10.3 We will send you a secure payment request link (for example a Shopify / Shop Pay checkout link). You must check items, quantities, delivery address and total price before paying.

10.4 A contract is formed only when you complete payment via the payment link and we send an Order Confirmation (or Dispatch Confirmation), or when we dispatch your products (whichever occurs first).

10.5 If you do not complete payment, the draft order may be cancelled automatically after a reasonable period.

10.6 Mistakes/duplicates: If you believe a payment link was used in error, contact us immediately at hello@purition.co.uk. We will try to help, but we may not be able to stop an order once it has been processed or dispatched.

10.7 Security: We may take reasonable steps to verify that the person using the SMS Re-order Service is authorised to place orders for that account/phone number, and we may refuse or cancel orders where we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised activity.

10.8 No card details by SMS: We will never ask you to send full card details or a card security code by text. Do not send these details by SMS.

11. Right to refuse service, cancel orders, and quantity limits

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably believe:

  • the order is fraudulent or unauthorised;
  • the order appears to be for resale, commercial distribution, or bulk purchasing outside normal consumer use;
  • the customer has repeatedly returned items in a way that indicates abuse of returns processes; or
  • fulfilling the order would breach applicable law or regulations.

We may also apply reasonable quantity limits per person, household or order. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the amounts paid for the cancelled items.

12. Subscriptions (repeat orders)

12.1 A subscription creates repeat orders for the products you select at the frequency you choose, until you cancel.

12.2 Subscriptions may be offered at a discounted price. Discounts may change for future renewals; we will notify you in advance and you can cancel before changes take effect.

12.3 You can update, skip, pause or cancel a subscription at any time via your account area (where available) or by contacting hello@purition.co.uk.

12.4 Renewal reminders: Where you have an active subscription, we send an email reminder 5 days before renewal so you have time to make changes.

12.5 Cut-off for changes: Changes (skip/pause/cancel/update) should be made before your subscription renewal is processed. If a renewal has already been processed or dispatched, changes may apply from the next cycle.

12.6 Payment failures: If a subscription renewal payment fails, we may retry payment and/or pause the subscription and contact you for an alternative method. If payment cannot be taken within a reasonable period, the renewal may be cancelled.

12.7 Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically cancel an order that has already been paid for, processed or dispatched (your cancellation/return rights for that order may still apply depending on product condition and the law).

13. Price and payment

Prices include VAT where applicable. We accept payment methods offered at checkout, including Shop Pay and other Shopify-supported methods.

Pricing errors: If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may contact you to reconfirm at the correct price or cancel and refund.

Payment link safety: Only complete payment using links you requested or expected. If you are unsure whether a message is genuine, contact us before paying.

14. Delivery (UK)

Delivery options, estimated timescales and charges are shown at checkout and on our Shipping page. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.

You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. If an order is returned due to an incorrect/incomplete address or failed delivery, we may charge for re-delivery or refund excluding delivery costs (as appropriate).

Risk passes to you when goods are delivered to your address (or to a nominated safe place/neighbor where arranged with the carrier).

15. Your right to cancel (Consumers)

If you are a Consumer, you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days starting the day after you receive the goods, subject to legal exceptions (for example hygiene/food safety reasons where goods are unsealed/opened). To cancel, contact hello@purition.co.uk with your order number.

16. Returns and refunds

Our Returns Policy forms part of these Terms and sets out how to return items and how refunds are handled, including restrictions for opened food products for hygiene and food safety reasons.

17. Promotions, discount codes and offers

From time to time we may offer promotions, discount codes or free gifts. Unless stated otherwise:

  • codes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may have expiry dates;
  • one code may be used per order unless stated otherwise;
  • codes may not apply to subscriptions or may apply only to the first subscription delivery (as specified at checkout);
  • we may withdraw or amend promotions where necessary, but changes will not affect orders already accepted; and
  • where promotion-specific terms apply, those terms will take precedence for that promotion.

If a free gift appears in your basket, it is subject to availability and any eligibility rules stated at checkout or in the promotion terms.

18. User content (reviews, comments)

If you submit User Content (such as reviews), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce and publish it for marketing and promotional purposes, subject to your statutory rights. You must not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, misleading, infringes third-party rights, or includes personal or sensitive information you do not want made public. If your User Content breaches these Terms, we may remove it and (where relevant) suspend access.

19. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the site and its content are owned by or licensed to us. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

20. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to the above, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or negligence. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable. The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

21. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the site, SMS Service, subscriptions or accounts where we reasonably believe there is fraud, unauthorised activity, security risk, abuse of promotions/returns, unlawful activity, or a material breach of these Terms.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the updated version on the site. Changes apply to future use and future orders. Changes will not affect orders already accepted before the changes take effect, unless required by law.

23. Other important terms

Severance: If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder remains in force.

No waiver: If we do not enforce a term, we may still enforce it later.

Governing law and jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
