If you’re new to Purition or are coming back to it after a break, here’s some simple advice from our team to help get you motivated and prepared toward a healthier lifestyle.
Try Purition 3 ways
It make take a few attempts to find your favourite way so make sure you try our top 3 serving suggestions...
-
Make a shake: Blend a 40g serving of Purition with 200-250ml of your favourite milk for at least 30 seconds. Pour and enjoy straight away!
Due to Purition's high fibre content and because we don't add anything artificial to prevent this from happening, the shake will continue to thicken after blended. - Stir into yoghurt: Stir 40g of Purition into 125 - 150 gr of Greek style yoghurt and enjoy!
- Warming porridge: Just add a splash of hot water or milk and give it a good mix. You might have to add a bit more liquid depending on desired consistency.

Consistency is key
Try Purition for at least 5-6 consecutive days to get a true introduction to our blends and how they may work for you.
This will allow your taste buds time to adjust to the very natural flavour and low sugar content.
Add a little extra sweetness, only if needed.
Consider adding a third of a frozen banana or some low sugar fruit such as blueberries, strawberries or raspberries. In the summer, buy them fresh and in season.
In the winter, stock up on the bags of mixed frozen berries in the supermarket – they’re pretty delicious and economical too!
Adding a teaspoon of cinnamon, vanilla extract or a small teaspoon of maple syrup work really well, too.
No blender?
That's okay! Wether you are on the go, in the office or simply not have a blender at hand, you can still enjoy your daily Purition.
Stir 40g of Purition into 125 - 150 gr of Greek style yoghurt and enjoy! It's a super quick and easy option. You can always mix it in advance and put it in a jar or air tight container to take on the go - it makes for a great train brekkie for example.
Alternatively, you can use a shaker. It’s not for everyone, as it remains quite nutty in texture. But on the days when you don’t have your blender to hand and you’d rather have your daily Purition than not at all, this could be the way to go. Just give it a really good shake and use milk as your mixer.
Can I use water instead of milk?
As we don’t use unnatural emulsifiers, gums or milk/cream powders, we usually recommend blending Purition with milk. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t blend Purition with water. Some helpful tips if you are blending Purition with water:
- Add some frozen fruits or ice.
- Add a dollop of yoghurt for a bit more creaminess.
- Use half milk and half water.
If you blend it with just milk it will be of course creamier, thicker plus it will have additional nutrients and be more filling!
Our recommendation would be to try it for yourself and see which one you prefer.
Also useful to remember that you can always enjoy Purition as porridge - simply add a dash of hot water and mix. Or stir a serving of Purition into 125-150g of Greek yoghurt to make a delicious yoghurt bowl.
Keep hydrated
Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink – sip water throughout the day. Aim to drink 1.5 ltrs every day.
Trying to cut down on caffeine? Swap one or two cups for boiled water or boiled water with lemon.
We all enjoy an alcoholic drink at the weekend – and that’s ok! But cut it out during the week if you can. If weight-loss is your goal, going off alcohol altogether is the best thing you can do.
Move more, if you can
If you’re completely sedentary, a brisk 10-15-minute walk every day is good enough to get you started.
Try and get your heart rate raised for at least 10 minutes each day. If you’re on your feet during the day or are already enjoying the benefits of exercise in some way, try to step it up.
Attending an exercise class or HIIT session a few extra times a week will get those endorphins going and keep you motivated and feeling great!
Get a good night's sleep
A good night’s sleep reduces stress, boosts your productivity, supports health and wellbeing and simply makes you feel your all-round best.
Struggle to sleep? Try switching off your digital devices an hour or two before bed, sticking to a consistent sleep schedule, avoiding caffeine after 2pm and eating no later than 2–3 hours before bed.
Aim for 7-9 hours a night, every night, if you can.
