
Welcome back for another week of yoga and yoga techniques to positively affect your day.
We learnt in week 1 that yoga is great for us physically. We can improve flexibility and strength and incorporate postures that help with certain aspects of life e.g. grounding postures to bring us back to earth.
We also learnt about the mental benefits – that breath is used throughout yoga practice to bring us into the present moment, to help clear the craziness that goes on in the mind! Focusing on something very simple like the breath gives our mind a break from thinking, worry, stress etc. So yoga can be like a holiday for the mind and a tune up for the body.
You’re getting the idea that yoga is a very nurturing practice.
