Get the mix moving
The frozen fruit can take a while to blend. If you’re having trouble, stop the blender and use a tamper or spoon to mash the fruit and help it on its way. Add nut milk as required to loosen the mix. Depending on the power of your processor/blender, it can take a while, but don’t give up—the end result is worth it!
Freeze your bananas the right way
If you chop bananas and throw them in a freezer bag or tupperware, you’ll end up with a hard-to-blend clump of bananas. Instead, chop your bananas and lay them flat, in a single layer, on a lined baking tray. Freeze for around 2 hours. If needed, you can then place any unused frozen banana slices into a freezer-safe bag or Tupperware and use them whenever your next nice cream craving hits.
