We were recently contacted by Aoife Keane of AKEvents to see if we could support their forthcoming #SportsMind2018 event – being held in Halo Nightclub in Galway on Saturday 21st April 2018. “Oh yes please” we said! And hastily sent over some Purition to be included in their goody bags that are being handed out to the first 80 guests through the doors – so get there early if you’re going!
“I am over the moon to announce that we are in the midst of organising our fourth Mental Health Awareness & Wellbeing Event in Ireland!
The purpose of our first two events were to bring together the Social Media World (Bloggers, Models, Make Up Artists, Social Media Influencers etc) to help break the stigma attached to Mental Health in Ireland. Our event attendance has increased with every event we host – with over 200 Guests at our first event, 350 at the second event and 500 at the third event, we know our next event is going to be a great success. It is also our first event outside of Dublin!
Our aim for this event is to get the Irish Sporting and Fitness Community together to help us raise awareness and conversation about Mental Health, the good and the not so good for both Men and Women. Inviting big sports names and fitness/ health influencers has allowed us to utilise the power of social media to help us get the message out there to all of their followers that it’s ok not to be ok and it’s definitely ok to talk !
After three extremely successful events in Dublin we’ve decided to host our fourth event this April in GALWAY!
Like our previous events we have a panel of amazing speakers who will be telling their own stories about how they manage stress, anxiety & how they’ve dealt with mental health.
#SportsMind2018 (if you haven’t already guessed) is all things Sports, Fitness, Health & Wellbeing!
Our speakers are from different backgrounds of sports and fitness which really helps us cover all aspects! On the night they discuss their own battles and how sports and fitness has helped them for the better! – Aoife Keane.
We have an amazing Panel lined up for you which includes:
Sarah Rowe – Mayo Ladies Football & Shelbourne F.C
Dee Fitz – MMA & Boxer & Personal Coach
Conor Whelan – Galway Senior Hurler & Hurler of the Year 2017
Eva Butterly – Scoliosis Warrior, Game of Thrones Actress & Personal Trainer
