As a fitness enthusiast, I’m a big lover of protein

I’ve been into my health and fitness for as long as I can remember, and I’ve gone through quite a journey. A couple of years ago I was in an accident, which brought home just how important it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I absolutely love working out. Being in lockdown meant I spent quite a bit of money investing in at-home kit, so these days you will find me throwing around a barbell in the garden.

It’s quite easy to stay motivated when all you have to do is wake up, throw on some kit and stroll outside. I’ve tried out quite a few different styles of training (spin addict, avid runner, bodybuilder) but now I’ve found one that suits me, which makes it so much easier to stick to.

As a fitness enthusiast I am a big lover and user of whey protein and I’m always on the lookout for a new tasty flavour I can try.

I love that Purition is made from natural wholefoods

When I came across Purition I was drawn in by not only the variety of flavours they offer (coffee and walnut is a personal favourite) but also the ingredient list which contains no hidden nasties.

Looking down at the chocolate and orange sachet now (I ran out of coffee and walnut already) the ingredients are all one’s you would be able to not only pronounce, but more importantly, recognise — whey protein, sunflower kernels, freeze-dried orange, almonds, coconut to name just a few. This is a big driver for me when buying protein powders!

It’s nice to see a protein brand that’s made from natural wholefoods, rather than a ton of artificial ingredients. For me this is especially important as I suffer from IBS.

For me, breakfast is the most important meal of the day

You hear all the time that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I support this statement wholeheartedly. After all, it provides energy for the day ahead. Breakfast is my favourite meal and I always look forward to it. You will usually find me tucking into a big old bowl of baked oats after my workout.

I just combine my oats with some Purition, egg whites, baking powder, frozen fruit and pop it in the oven for 20 minutes… give it a try, you’ll thank me later!

People ask me if I get bored eating the same thing every day, but with the Discovery Box you’ve got 12 flavours to choose from, so each day I can try out a new flavour with my oats. My favourites are coffee and walnut and chocolate orange, but to be honest, they’re all great.

I love the taste of Purition (you can really taste the seeds and nuts) and it’s great to see a brand with an ingredients list containing things that are easily recognisable – no hidden nasties!
